Independent study aid

Certify66 is an independent study aid for the EASA / CAR Part-66 aircraft maintenance licence syllabus. It is not an EASA- or GCAA-approved training course, and completing content on this site does not by itself satisfy the training requirements for Part-66 licence issue. Always confirm your training route with an approved training organisation (ATO) or your national aviation authority.

The mock exams are unsupervised practice papers. They are not invigilated, there is no identity check and retries are unlimited, so a score on this site records that you practised rather than that you passed. Only an examination sat with an approved organisation or an authority counts toward licence issue.

Using the site

You can read the notes, work through the questions and mock exams, and use the simulations without an account. An account is free and optional. It lets the site keep your progress and results between visits.

Intellectual property & content use

All content on Certify66, including the notes, practice questions, mock exams, mind maps, interactive simulations, text, graphics and code, is the work of Shahida Maqsood and is protected by copyright. You may use it for your own exam preparation.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, screenshot for redistribution, record, scrape, translate, resell or otherwise share any part of the content, whether for free or for payment, without prior written permission. You may not share your account or login with anyone else. Copying or redistributing the material may lead to takedown requests and other legal remedies.

Who is responsible for your data

Certify66 is run by Shahida Maqsood, who decides how the personal data described below is used and is responsible for it. Contact details are at the end of this page.

What is stored

If you only browse, nothing about you is saved in the Certify66 database. If you create an account, the following is stored:

• Your email address, and your password in a scrambled (hashed) form that cannot be read back by anyone.
• The name you enter when signing up.
• Which topics you have opened, and when you first opened each one.
• Your quiz and mock exam results: the score, whether you passed, the answers you chose and when you made each attempt.
• Your account type, such as student or instructor.
• If you are an instructor, the material you upload.

As with any website, the hosting provider receives technical details with each request, such as your IP address, your browser type and the page requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

What it is used for

Only to run your account: signing you in, showing your dashboard and progress, and sending the emails an account needs, such as a password reset link. There is no advertising, no analytics or tracking script and no profiling, and your data is never sold or shared for marketing.

Cookies and browser storage

Certify66 sets only the cookies it needs to work: the login cookies that keep you signed in, and one that keeps you within the modules of a shared link you opened. Your display preferences, such as light or dark theme and reading mode, are kept in your own browser and are never sent to Certify66. No advertising or analytics cookies are used.

Who can see it

You can see your own records. Access rules in the database stop any other signed-in user, instructors included, from reading them. The operator can access the database to maintain the service and to answer support requests. The data is held and processed for Certify66 by these service providers:

• Supabase: database and sign-in.
• Resend: sending account emails.
• Vercel: hosting.
• Cloudflare: domain and email routing.

Where it is held

Account data is stored by Supabase. The site is served through data centres in several countries, so your data may be processed outside the United Arab Emirates.

How long it is kept

For as long as your account exists. Deleting an account deletes everything listed above that is linked to it: profile, progress and results together. Hosting and security logs are kept by the providers for their own limited periods.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of the data held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or have your account and its data deleted. Email support@certify66.com from the address on the account, so the request can be matched to it. Requests are answered within 30 days.

Certify66 is written for people training for an aircraft maintenance licence. If you are under 18, please check with a parent or guardian before creating an account.
